The demo starts the same as the original Utawarerumono, the same or very similar lines.
The entire demo is through Kuon's point of view. Kuon have been sleeping for 10 days and she has forgotten that she had been on a trip. However due to the report from Kurou she remembered seemingly everything but Haku's face.
Kuon had the same disease has Yuzuha, but her Hakuoro blood had more or less cured her from it.
Kuon is told by Oboro that Tuskuru will invade Yamato now due to Yamato being in chaos. Yamato will likely attack Tuskuru again when it has stabilize so they have to strike now.
Kuon tries to run off to Yamato in the middle of the night to aid her friends, but is soon caught up by everyone. After being calmed down, Kuon in the end decides to lead the invasion against Yamato (and it here she says those words in that CM).
